Baguio Philippines Mission August 2023-March 2025

HIGHLIGHTS - Christmas con!! We took a 4 bus ride down to LA Union and back so all together we traveled 8 hours that day. My favorite part of the travel was playing with one of the elders electric massager because it makes your nerves in your hand go crazy if you put it on your arm. We were all laughing so hard  - I got HUGGED by a 20 year old drunk guy - I also got super sick this week but luckily after a 5 hour nap and a lot of prayers I was totally fine to go work - The Caldewalls my favorite senior couple took us to some of our poorest friends and we shared a message and gave them bags of rice and veggies it was an amazing experience and we felt the spirit so strong - The branch Christmas party was fun it was mostly games and karaoke  - We just got news that our mission will now get phones for everyone so companionships don't have to share!! We are super excited about it - I started my French fries on fire in the microwave and smoked out the apartment woops  CHRISTMAS...

Maligayang pasko everyone :) Christmas has been everywhere this week and it's getting me so excited!  HIGHLIGHTS - Shakeys with the whole zone today (there is only two districts in the zone and we have done something together pretty much every pday) - lots of people progressing and coming to church - the Lauretta Fam is still getting ready for their baptism and brought some of their friends to church! - exchanges were good this week  - I bought this cool hammock - Joint DCM was so fun they also fed us pizza - I am officially on a flight home with one of my best friends in the mission Sister Mecham so that is going to be so fun - Christmas lights are EVERYWHERE CULTURE   Kids have been coming up to us and caroling again but when they do that you have to give them a toy or candy, once we forgot to bring toys and they got very angry that we didn't give them anything haha ESPIRITUAL NA ISIP "Wherefore, all things which are good cometh of God; and that which is evil cometh of ...

Nothing super crazy happened this week but we did play monopoly with half of the zone for 4 hours this morning I lost immediately  HIGHLIGHTS   - MLC!! I got to see ALL of my favorite people from the mission: Sister Wardell & Sister Pelagio (past companions) and Sister Mecham (past roommate and has just been with me the whole mission) - the drive down to MLC was 4 hours in a van with just all of the elders, we played cards and yelled all of the youth album songs - someone got shot across from one of our teaching appointments (elections are starting to get close) - we had a miracle 13 people come to church including our family on bap date!  - we walked past a crime scene  - locked our selves out of our apartment  - buying Christmas gifts for other missionaries and friends  - Watching a fireworks show  CULTURE   On new years they jump once the clock hits 12:00 so they can be taller ahahaha ESPIRITUAL NA ISIP  From a talk from President Mons...

This week one of my favorite parts was when a lot of our appointments fell through so we both looked at each other and decided to walk into a police station and ask if we can share a message with all of them. They agreed, all listened, gave us a whole bunch of nachos and coke, offered us a ride in their police car, and asked us to come back regularly it was so cool! HIGHLIGHTS - Happy Thanksgiving! We made Thanksgiving dinner for ourselves with mashed potatoes, rotisserie chicken, rolls, and I figured out how to make mini banana creme pies  - We set 5 baptism dates this week! One of them was our most progressing family and we are so excited for them - The lauretta family all came to church!! - we found 23 new friends this week. This week was pretty chill not a lot happened but we got to go to this restaurant we have been wanting to go to for a long time, s.Tyler ordered nachos thinking there was Mexican food here just for them to bring her fried lumpia Wrappers with fake melted cheese on top. It was so gross hahaha HIGHLIGHTS   - I found out Deborah & her daughter got baptised from my last area!  - we had transfers and I will be staying here in Abra finishing S.Tylers training  - some of my friends from other areas got put in our district I'm so excited about it - the Lauretta family is praying about baptism and we are so excited about it - found a really cool guy from Pakistan that we get to speak English with  - I saw a baby monkey - We hiked up this hill today with the district and took pics at the I ♡ ABRA sign CULTURE In Abra pancit noodles are different- they are called Abra Miki IT IS SO GOOD we bought a huge bag of it and eat it almost everyday ESPIRITUAL NA ISIP I was able to f...
