August 12, 2024 WEEK 53 Dr Pepper 🥤

After one year of searching I found Dr Pepper at this cool restaurant called Papa C's, it was 80 pesos which is incredibly overpriced but me and the other American sister bought two each haha it was so worth it

HIGHLIGHTS
- I hit one year this week which is just crazy, my roommates and comp spoiled me they are the best
- I got SO SICK we arent sure what it was but man I was knocked out the whole day we think it might have been food poisoning. Im all good now and so glad to be able to get out of the house
- Two different people on diferent days approached us and asked if they could come to church with us
- Stake Conference
- Glennford and Kent are ready for their baptism this saturday! 
- I convinced my comp to buy a violin from shopee and it came and its actually good quality for only 1000 pesos which is super cheap for a violin
- Teaching little girls "down by the banks" is so funny 

CULTURE
People will weld literally anything onto the side of their motorcycle, the coolest one Ive seen was this cage a guy made for packing around a cow that he welded to his motorbike. We also get around with trikes which are like a welded side car onto a motorcycle

  Keyboard ka ba? Kasi type kita... I love Tagalog pick up lines! this one means are you a keyboard because you're my type haha It has been such a great week but soo weird because we have been doing a few things for the last time! Homecoming- Touring the Philippines with Mom and Dad March 22-March 27

 Ashlyn was released from her mission on March 22, 2025 at the Baguio Mission Home.  Because President and Sister Wilson couldn't be there, The Caldwells came to meet us and help with her release.  This was a tender mercy because the Caldwells had treated Ashlyn like a daughter throughout her mission and watched over her from the day they found her in the Provo MTC until the day she left.  Originally, President Watt was scheduled to release Ashlyn over a phone video conference, but ended up having other obligations and he authorized her dad to release her, which was also a very special and tender moment.  A lot of tears of joy were shed when we saw Ashlyn again after 19.5 months and after she had to sadly take off her tags and say goodbye to this chapter of her life. December 23, 2024 WEEK 72 Naragsak a Paskua 🎅

HIGHLIGHTS - Christmas con!! We took a 4 bus ride down to LA Union and back so all together we traveled 8 hours that day. My favorite part of the travel was playing with one of the elders electric massager because it makes your nerves in your hand go crazy if you put it on your arm. We were all laughing so hard  - I got HUGGED by a 20 year old drunk guy - I also got super sick this week but luckily after a 5 hour nap and a lot of prayers I was totally fine to go work - The Caldewalls my favorite senior couple took us to some of our poorest friends and we shared a message and gave them bags of rice and veggies it was an amazing experience and we felt the spirit so strong - The branch Christmas party was fun it was mostly games and karaoke  - We just got news that our mission will now get phones for everyone so companionships don't have to share!! We are super excited about it - I started my French fries on fire in the microwave and smoked out the apartment woops  CHRISTMAS...
