August 29, 2023 WEEK 3 Kailangan ako ng mga itlog 🥚

So "Kailangan ako ng mga itlog" means "I need eggs" and I named this my email because I dreamed this is Tagalog. I had no idea my brain was to the point of just saying random phrases in Tagalog but in the dream I just turned to my roommate and said that in perfect grammar. It gives me hope that I can learn this language.

This week has been pretty much like every other week not going to lie, we had classes and devotionals, and sand volleyball but it was all amazing and its going to be super hard to leave.

Highlights
- Singing a nursery Tagalog song called Tong Tong Tong (look it up its super catchy)
- The non stop rain
- Temple
- Finding multiple people from home throughout the days like Sister Steiger, Sister Baxter, Elder Dallin Wheatley, Elder Tyce Hancen, Elder Noah Jones, and Elder Polatis!
- One of my best friends coming to the MTC and getting to see her everyday!
- "Puti Lang Ako" It means "Im just white" one of my teachers said he would have to say this to filipino children so they weren't scared of him.
- We got to see sister Jean B Bingham (the relief society president of the church) She was standing in the breakfast line and I got to talk with her without realizing who she was haha
- Getting closer and closer with my amazing companion Sister Strong
- (not so much a highlight) but a sister across my room went into Heart Arrhythmia and we watched the EMTs take her into an ambulance.
- meeting Filipinas and talking to them in tagalog

Filipino Culture
