April 29, 2024 WEK 38 May Bagong Temple 💒
This week I got to watch the Urdaneta temple dedication! It was purely in Tagalog including the hozana shout and they had live translators translating Elder Oak's dedicatory prayer.
We all met at the stake center to watch and I got to see my last companion Sister Tu'Ivai! She is the STL now here in Bauang I'm so excited!
HIGHLIGHTS
- One night a guy on a bike followed us home, we turned around and asked him what he was doing and he said he just wanted to make sure we got home safe 👀
- eating butter crabs on the beach
- I almost started the whole house on fire because sometimes our toaster lags and will not stop toasting if you aren't paying attention
- One of our progressing friends said she had a dream where she was baptised and said it was a sign
- learning how to make a t-shirt rug
- Found two of our recent converts very drunk at a party haha
- We taught pastor Adam again and he asked what to do once the Book of Mormon is true and said he will preach it to all of his followers once he knows its true.
- Pastor Adam has an amazing story of forgiveness and coming to Christ after his dad was shot in front of his eyes when he was just 7 in Uganda
CULTURE
By law every cigarette box has a nasty picture of some type of disease you can get from smoking like cataracts in your eyes or nasty pictures of people's mouths
ESPIRITUAL NA ISIP
This week I have been very grateful for the Word of Wisdom and the Law of Chastity in my life.
We have counted 5 different families who are suffering from a spouse abusing alcohol or drugs or not following the Law of Chastity.
I am so grateful for modern prophets and the revelations they recieve to keep us safe and happy ♡
PICS
- mango Graham cake
- Tshirt rug
- almost burning down the house
