December 18, 2023 WEEK 19 Hula Dancers 💃
This week the main thing we have been doing is practicing an islander dance made up of Fijian, Samoan, Tongan, and Hawaiian traditional dances. We are going to perform it for our christmas conference on Wednesday Im so excited!
Almost all of the foreigner sisters are from Samoa or Tonga so it is going to be so cool! They even got all of us flower clips to put in our hair :)
HIGHLIGHTS
- I got my new companion! Her name is sister Tu'Ivai from Tonga and she is so cool
- Sister Tu'Ivai doesnt really know Tagalog but the Holy Ghost has been giving us the words to say. At the end of lessons we are always amazed at what we were able to teach even though neither of us can speak well.

- 2 jeepney drivers almost got in a fist fight when one backed into the other
- Huge cockroaches in our apartment
- I ended my training and have been leading the area! Me and Sis Tu'Ivai are basically training each other
- The sisters upstairs cut off a lot of my hair
- I fell on the same knee AGAIN, I am seriously considering getting knee pads
- A guy followed us from a drink shop and then asked if he could buy me coffee
