December 4, 2023 WEEK 17 Machetes 🔪

 The coolest service Ive got to do yet was use Itaks (machetes) to chop down banana trees for a highschool. If you swung it hard enough you could chop them down in one swing those things are sharp!

We also spent half the day moving wood and cleaning out a room for classes.

HIGHLIGHTS

- Eating pig face, its actually sooo good

- Exchanges with a cute samoan sister

- Language mistake this week: I said after we kill we can be together as a family, instead of after we die haha

- Teaching english class to the kids and reading them stories in the park

- Making another ultra mega bed in the sisters appartment and praying for no more rats

-There is a christmas village in the park its so pretty!

- Our testimony meeting was all in Tagalog this week and I am the one who types everything out for our def friend. She only speaks english because she learned ASL so I was having to translate the tagalog into english and type it out for her it was so rough.

- We had a ward baptism and the poor little girl had to be baptised three times because the water was so cold she refused to go under

- Please pray for the people of the mindanao island of the Philippines, there was a 6.9 mag earthquake.

CULTURE

You have to pay to use the bathroom in public and there is usually no toilet paper in those.

ESPIRITUAL NA ISIP

We had a miracle on sunday when none of the 9 people that promised us they would come actually were able to come. A lady we have contacted once drove 45 minutes to our church and brought her son so we were still able to have 2 friends at church :) 

Heavenly Father is aware of us, if we pray in faith He will send miracles.
