February 11, 2024 WEEK 27 Panagbenga Festival 🌻

I finally got to go to the Panagbenga Festival! (Baguios yearly flower festival that starts in Feb and lasts till March)

Ive been hoping I would be able to go ever since getting to the Philippines and it is so fun. They have flowers, shops, and flower shops everywhere we have been buying a lot of random stuff. My favorites is mango graham shakes (mango shake with crushed graham crackers) and the jewelry

HIGHLIGHTS
- A new member heard me talking about how I wanted to buy a traditional filipina dress but they were too expensive and so he is making me one!
- I was typing word for word what people were saying in sunday school when I was translating for Donna and I wrote "I havent been able to have kids and its been really hard" from an older lady speaking... She thought I was saying that about myself and said "Its ok sister someday you will get married"
- At a dinner appointment the members young daughter cut out lips, eyelashes, and nails out of paper and taped them to her face along with stuffing her pants haha.
- We took the wrong jeepney by accident one day and travelled 30 min in the wrong direction before noticing we died laughing once we noticed haha
- We were teaching this 80 something year old man when a drunk guy decided to join the lesson and started saying crazy stuff like he was going to get revenge on his wife. Our 80 year old friend couldnt stop laughing at him it was so funny
- Happy Super Bowl
- District leader got Emergency Transfered :(
- So far we have had 4 people who have wanted to get baptised but cant because of Philippines laws it is so discouraging :(

ESPIRITUAL NA ISIP
"Behold, you have not understood; you have supposed that I would give it unto you, when you took no thought save it was to ask me.
But, behold, I say unto you, that you must study it out in your mind; then you must ask me if it be right, and if it is right I will cause that your bosom shall burn within you; therefore, you shall feel that it is right."

• D&C 9: 7-8 •

We have to work for our answers to questions and cant just expect Him to give them to us. I have seen this in the work a lot, Heavenly Father wants us to be problem solvers that is how we grow.
Love you all ♡

PICS
