January 7, 2024 WEEK 22 Wala Lang 🤷‍♀️

This was not a super eventful week but it was kind of nice not having major problems. Something this week that was fun was seeing my progress in Tagalog.

I am leading the area now with a missionary who still doesnt really know Tagalog so I have been leading almost every lesson and it has made my Tagalog become so much better. I know that I have definitely receiving help from Heaven.

HIGHLIGHTS
- I have been a missionary for 5 months! 
- Finding out all the Philippines missionaries are getting Tagalog tags!
- Brother Neil one of our friends that we taught who moved to Tailand is getting baptised this Saturday!
- We got bible bashed again and he was so aggressive and crazy talking about how he would slit his neck for his church
- Exchanges in La Trinidad
- Climbing 500+ stairs (we lost count after about 500) in a row twice a week 
- We got to do this tour of temple square over zoom with the filipina missionaries there! We invited people we are teaching it was so good
- Playing all kinds of Filipino street games for Pday today
- Our friend came to church finally :)

CULTURE 
I have been sick and a lot of the filipinos have been saying its because I havent been wearing a towel in my shirt. They believe that if you sweat and then it gets cold at night you'll get sick. 

ESPIRITUAL NA ISIP 
"But the Lord knoweth all things from the beginning; wherefore, he prepareth a way to accomplish all his works among the children of men; for behold, he hath all power unto the fulfilling of all his words. And thus it is. Amen."

  Keyboard ka ba? Kasi type kita... I love Tagalog pick up lines! this one means are you a keyboard because you're my type haha It has been such a great week but soo weird because we have been doing a few things for the last time! I fly out Saturday night for the Philippines and will arrive that monday. We actually skip completely over sunday because of the time zone differences. Homecoming- Touring the Philippines with Mom and Dad March 22-March 27

 Ashlyn was released from her mission on March 22, 2025 at the Baguio Mission Home.  Because President and Sister Wilson couldn't be there, The Caldwells came to meet us and help with her release.  This was a tender mercy because the Caldwells had treated Ashlyn like a daughter throughout her mission and watched over her from the day they found her in the Provo MTC until the day she left.  Originally, President Watt was scheduled to release Ashlyn over a phone video conference, but ended up having other obligations and he authorized her dad to release her, which was also a very special and tender moment.  A lot of tears of joy were shed when we saw Ashlyn again after 19.5 months and after she had to sadly take off her tags and say goodbye to this chapter of her life. December 23, 2024 WEEK 72 Naragsak a Paskua 🎅

HIGHLIGHTS - Christmas con!! We took a 4 bus ride down to LA Union and back so all together we traveled 8 hours that day. My favorite part of the travel was playing with one of the elders electric massager because it makes your nerves in your hand go crazy if you put it on your arm. We were all laughing so hard  - I got HUGGED by a 20 year old drunk guy - I also got super sick this week but luckily after a 5 hour nap and a lot of prayers I was totally fine to go work - The Caldewalls my favorite senior couple took us to some of our poorest friends and we shared a message and gave them bags of rice and veggies it was an amazing experience and we felt the spirit so strong - The branch Christmas party was fun it was mostly games and karaoke  - We just got news that our mission will now get phones for everyone so companionships don't have to share!! We are super excited about it - I started my French fries on fire in the microwave and smoked out the apartment woops  CHRISTMAS...
