June 16, 2024 WEEK 45 Sister Mas Maraming Maramdaman 🫳

Someone called me this this week haha it just means sister feel more

HIGHLIGHTS
- I got roped into being part of a singing musical number for Mission Tour and really didnt want to, but one of the filipino senior couples said it would be a siyang (kind of like a waste) of a God given talent if I didnt do it, it changed my view on things. I realized that God gives us talents to bless others and when we consecrate those talents for Him, He will magnify them to be a blessing and to touch other people ♡
- Im also now officially the ward pianist and I know God was blessing me to be able to do it, usually I get all shakey and scared but I was able to play for the whole meeting and it was fine. 
- Tatay June came to church!! We only taught him twice and he immediatly wanted to come to church! He had a great time meeting members and said next time he will bring his friend too
- We extended 3 baptismal dates this week and they all accepted 
- I ate water buffalo (Karabaw) I rate it 5 out of 10
- Mission Tour was really impactful with the Bangeters (area 70 I think)
- a kid said I look like Mr.Bean 🥸
- a huge lightning and rain storm came through last night and we watched a cell phone tower get hit by lighting over and over it was really cool and also really scary because it was so loud the ground would shake
- Happy Fathers Day :) 

CULTURE
This might be in America too idk but they say if you use your cellphone during the storm you are more likely to get struck by lightning

  Keyboard ka ba? Kasi type kita... I love Tagalog pick up lines! this one means are you a keyboard because you're my type haha It has been such a great week but soo weird because we have been doing a few things for the last time! I fly out Saturday night for the Philippines and will arrive that monday. We actually skip completely over sunday because of the time zone differences. Homecoming- Touring the Philippines with Mom and Dad March 22-March 27

 Ashlyn was released from her mission on March 22, 2025 at the Baguio Mission Home.  Because President and Sister Wilson couldn't be there, The Caldwells came to meet us and help with her release.  This was a tender mercy because the Caldwells had treated Ashlyn like a daughter throughout her mission and watched over her from the day they found her in the Provo MTC until the day she left.  Originally, President Watt was scheduled to release Ashlyn over a phone video conference, but ended up having other obligations and he authorized her dad to release her, which was also a very special and tender moment.  A lot of tears of joy were shed when we saw Ashlyn again after 19.5 months and after she had to sadly take off her tags and say goodbye to this chapter of her life. December 23, 2024 WEEK 72 Naragsak a Paskua 🎅

HIGHLIGHTS - Christmas con!! We took a 4 bus ride down to LA Union and back so all together we traveled 8 hours that day. My favorite part of the travel was playing with one of the elders electric massager because it makes your nerves in your hand go crazy if you put it on your arm. We were all laughing so hard  - I got HUGGED by a 20 year old drunk guy - I also got super sick this week but luckily after a 5 hour nap and a lot of prayers I was totally fine to go work - The Caldewalls my favorite senior couple took us to some of our poorest friends and we shared a message and gave them bags of rice and veggies it was an amazing experience and we felt the spirit so strong - The branch Christmas party was fun it was mostly games and karaoke  - We just got news that our mission will now get phones for everyone so companionships don't have to share!! We are super excited about it - I started my French fries on fire in the microwave and smoked out the apartment woops  CHRISTMAS...
