March 10, 2024 WEEK 31 Finally Leaving My First Area 🏃‍♀️

I am finally getting transfered after 6 months in the same area! It is going to be so sad leaving all the friends, members, and the best district but Im excited for change.

I dont know where Im going yet or who my comp is but I will find out tonight

HIGHLIGHTS
- Found 10 born agains when we were inviting people to church and they invited us in and fed us dinner. One of them asked me a whole bunch of questions about everything so it was fun getting to explain a lot of deeper doctrine he had questions about
- Eating a really nice dinner with our ward missionary leaders for my last week
- This really old nanay saw a picture of Joseph Smith and said in english "ooo he looks nice, is he still alive I want to look him up" 
- Someones cat came over and sneezed blood into my hand
- A pack of little girls pretty much jumping us and trying to steal all of my jewelry 
- We discovered a whole new barangay that was hidden from the road so now we have a whole new area to do finding in
- This lonely couple calls us their daughters
- My stomach got way sick this week but I feel better now :)

TONGAN CULTURE 🇹🇴
- It is normal to be very aggressive and get in fights at school 
- The moms chew up food to feed to their babies like a bird

  Keyboard ka ba? Kasi type kita... I love Tagalog pick up lines! this one means are you a keyboard because you're my type haha It has been such a great week but soo weird because we have been doing a few things for the last time! Homecoming- Touring the Philippines with Mom and Dad March 22-March 27

 Ashlyn was released from her mission on March 22, 2025 at the Baguio Mission Home.  Because President and Sister Wilson couldn't be there, The Caldwells came to meet us and help with her release.  This was a tender mercy because the Caldwells had treated Ashlyn like a daughter throughout her mission and watched over her from the day they found her in the Provo MTC until the day she left.  Originally, President Watt was scheduled to release Ashlyn over a phone video conference, but ended up having other obligations and he authorized her dad to release her, which was also a very special and tender moment.  A lot of tears of joy were shed when we saw Ashlyn again after 19.5 months and after she had to sadly take off her tags and say goodbye to this chapter of her life. December 23, 2024 WEEK 72 Naragsak a Paskua 🎅

HIGHLIGHTS - Christmas con!! We took a 4 bus ride down to LA Union and back so all together we traveled 8 hours that day. My favorite part of the travel was playing with one of the elders electric massager because it makes your nerves in your hand go crazy if you put it on your arm. We were all laughing so hard  - I got HUGGED by a 20 year old drunk guy - I also got super sick this week but luckily after a 5 hour nap and a lot of prayers I was totally fine to go work - The Caldewalls my favorite senior couple took us to some of our poorest friends and we shared a message and gave them bags of rice and veggies it was an amazing experience and we felt the spirit so strong - The branch Christmas party was fun it was mostly games and karaoke  - We just got news that our mission will now get phones for everyone so companionships don't have to share!! We are super excited about it - I started my French fries on fire in the microwave and smoked out the apartment woops  CHRISTMAS...
