March 3, 2024 WEEK 30 Ariana Grande 🎤

This week Sister Tu'Ivai started calling me Ariana Grande.. not because Im good at singing but because there's all these videos of Ariana tripping over things and thats pretty much how its been going for me in Baguio. To be fair the ground is SO uneven haha


HIGHLIGHTS
- Playing larong pinoy (filipino street games) with the ward but only three people showed up so we played volleyball with 3 dads for an hour
- The tabernacle choir came to the Philippines! It was amazing, we got to watch it broadcasted in the chapel with the people we are teaching
- Got a cute valentines package from my family with all my favorite chocolate
- A 7 yr old girl that we always talk to in one of our areas got on the same jeepney as us and talked to me the whole 45 minute ride. My favorite question from her: Do you have a really big friend?
- We got to watch part of the biggest firework show Ive ever seen to mark the ending of Panagbenga
- Not much happened this week but I was able to feel the spirit so strong in some of our lessons when teaching the first vision. I know that Joseph Smith is a true prophet of God and the holy ghost testifies that to me everytime we teach our friends about his experience. I know that they can feel it too ♡

TONGAN CULTURE 🇹🇴
When all of the dogs start howling at the same time it means that someone in the town is going to die...and Sister Tu'Ivai says it usually comes true :o

ESPIRITUAL NA ISIP
In my reading this week I've been reading about Captain Moroni. Something I was inspired about was his faithful preparation in all his battles. Lets all prepare for lifes battles so when satan comes he doesnt win ♡

Alma 48:17
"Yea, verily, verily I say unto you, if all men had been, and were, and ever would be, like unto Moroni, behold, the very powers of hell would have been shaken forever; yea, the devil would never have power over the hearts of the children of men."

  Keyboard ka ba? Kasi type kita... I love Tagalog pick up lines! this one means are you a keyboard because you're my type haha It has been such a great week but soo weird because we have been doing a few things for the last time! Homecoming- Touring the Philippines with Mom and Dad March 22-March 27

 Ashlyn was released from her mission on March 22, 2025 at the Baguio Mission Home.  Because President and Sister Wilson couldn't be there, The Caldwells came to meet us and help with her release.  This was a tender mercy because the Caldwells had treated Ashlyn like a daughter throughout her mission and watched over her from the day they found her in the Provo MTC until the day she left.  Originally, President Watt was scheduled to release Ashlyn over a phone video conference, but ended up having other obligations and he authorized her dad to release her, which was also a very special and tender moment.  A lot of tears of joy were shed when we saw Ashlyn again after 19.5 months and after she had to sadly take off her tags and say goodbye to this chapter of her life. December 23, 2024 WEEK 72 Naragsak a Paskua 🎅

HIGHLIGHTS - Christmas con!! We took a 4 bus ride down to LA Union and back so all together we traveled 8 hours that day. My favorite part of the travel was playing with one of the elders electric massager because it makes your nerves in your hand go crazy if you put it on your arm. We were all laughing so hard  - I got HUGGED by a 20 year old drunk guy - I also got super sick this week but luckily after a 5 hour nap and a lot of prayers I was totally fine to go work - The Caldewalls my favorite senior couple took us to some of our poorest friends and we shared a message and gave them bags of rice and veggies it was an amazing experience and we felt the spirit so strong - The branch Christmas party was fun it was mostly games and karaoke  - We just got news that our mission will now get phones for everyone so companionships don't have to share!! We are super excited about it - I started my French fries on fire in the microwave and smoked out the apartment woops  CHRISTMAS...
