November 10, 2024 WEEK 66 The Trike Puncher 👊💥

This week we have had quite a few interactions with a guy we named the "trike puncher" because he is a mentally unstable guy who will punch people straight in the face as they ride by on a trike. Men, women, or children, no one is safe haha we actually run away now when we see him on the street.

HIGHLIGHTS
- We were able to have nine friends come to church it was a miracle! One of them we had never met but she came anyways and asked to be baptized :)
- ANOTHER Typhoon, this one is supposed to be pretty bad it's a signal 4 out of 5
- My dad in the mission is the AP now and we went on a 4 hour road trip with just him and his companion down to the mission home for a 4th week follow up for sister Tyler. It was pretty fun getting to know them super well haha
- I got to be companions with Sister Wardell for a day because of S.Tylers follow up!!! I missed that girl!
- We found out how to hang dry our clothes from the ceiling because one drying rack does not work well for three sisters 
- being in a trio is the best thing ever

CULTURE 
People here eat bugs and it freaks me out. We have this one really far out barangay and they catch these freaky coackroach looking things to cook and eat.

ESPIRITUAL NA ISIP 
I liked a quote from Elder Bradly Wilcox's conference talk: "He sees you as you can become" 
I think it is beautiful that God chooses to see us as our potential instead of our current broken and sinful state. I have changed SO much as a person and I am SO glad that God's mercy has helped me to come this far ♡♡ lublub have a good week

  Keyboard ka ba? Kasi type kita... I love Tagalog pick up lines! this one means are you a keyboard because you're my type haha It has been such a great week but soo weird because we have been doing a few things for the last time! Homecoming- Touring the Philippines with Mom and Dad March 22-March 27

 Ashlyn was released from her mission on March 22, 2025 at the Baguio Mission Home.  Because President and Sister Wilson couldn't be there, The Caldwells came to meet us and help with her release.  This was a tender mercy because the Caldwells had treated Ashlyn like a daughter throughout her mission and watched over her from the day they found her in the Provo MTC until the day she left.  Originally, President Watt was scheduled to release Ashlyn over a phone video conference, but ended up having other obligations and he authorized her dad to release her, which was also a very special and tender moment.  A lot of tears of joy were shed when we saw Ashlyn again after 19.5 months and after she had to sadly take off her tags and say goodbye to this chapter of her life. December 23, 2024 WEEK 72 Naragsak a Paskua 🎅

HIGHLIGHTS - Christmas con!! We took a 4 bus ride down to LA Union and back so all together we traveled 8 hours that day. My favorite part of the travel was playing with one of the elders electric massager because it makes your nerves in your hand go crazy if you put it on your arm. We were all laughing so hard  - I got HUGGED by a 20 year old drunk guy - I also got super sick this week but luckily after a 5 hour nap and a lot of prayers I was totally fine to go work - The Caldewalls my favorite senior couple took us to some of our poorest friends and we shared a message and gave them bags of rice and veggies it was an amazing experience and we felt the spirit so strong - The branch Christmas party was fun it was mostly games and karaoke  - We just got news that our mission will now get phones for everyone so companionships don't have to share!! We are super excited about it - I started my French fries on fire in the microwave and smoked out the apartment woops  CHRISTMAS...
