November 4, 2024 WEEK 65 Fiesta ng mga patay 🕯
This week was a good week, it was all saints day again which is crazy to me that it has already been a year.
HIGHLIGHTS
- people speak almost purely in Illocano here it is ridiculous. We will tell them that we just speak tagalog and they just continue to speak Illocano, I know enough illocano words that I usually kind of know the gist of what they are saying but I feel like a trainee again with the language
- also church is all purely in Illocano
- after zone con getting stranded on the side of the road with 12 other elders for 2 hours while waiting for a bus
- christmas packages from the best mom ever, now our apartment is decorated in christmas lights
- 7 hours of church and meetings on sunday because we are over 2 areas now that we are comined with a sister whos comp went home.
- I got my "my plan" :0
- going to some beautiful water falls this morning with the district!
✨️MIRACLES ✨️
Sister Grace and her family!! While finding last week I asked Sister Tyler where she felt the holy ghost was leading her to go because we hadn't been having a lot of success. She led us to a whole family who was very accepting and this week they came to church and the wife has already read the first few pages of the Book of Mormon
CULTURE
For all saints day everyone goes to the cemetary and put candles there and also at their house for however many people they have that died in their family
ESPIRITUAL NA ISIP
Ive been learning a lot about "being still" and how that looks like as a missionary constantly on the run. I learned that through all the business we can still "be still" as we trust in God trust His timing and trust that He knows best since it's Him who can see the whole picture.
