October 21, 2024 WEEK 63 Tell Me You're in Abra Without Telling Me You're in Abra 🐕
Just in this week I feel like I have seen all that the Philipines has to offer.
The story this week is when we bought "chicken" from a small tindahan and got home to unwrap it for it to be a big slab of DOG MEAT. I was gagging and took pictures of it to ask members and they confirmed that it was dog nga
No we didn't try eating it
HIGHLIGHTS
- Somehow our mission president heard about the dog story and asked us to send pics
- Me and Sister Tyler keep saying "tell me you're in Abra without telling me you're in Abra" whenever we see something crazy

- We live right next door to a senior missionary couple and they give us their leftovers. We haven't cooked in days and they make really good American food

- hours and hours of finding in the hot sun (the Elders before us had 11 people they were teaching them and half of them were kids)

CULTURE
The language here is pure Illocano so I have been trying to learn
ESPIRITUAL NA ISIP
"And it came to pass that the Lord God caused that there should be a furious wind blow upon the face of the waters, towards the promised land; and thus they were tossed upon the waves of the sea before the wind."
