October 23, 2023 WEEK 11 400th Stair Last Door 🚪

We had exchanges this week! I was the one who stayed in the area so that meant that I had to lead the area and the lessons. It was super scary mostly because my sense of direction is really bad and the streets winding through the barangays in these mountains are really confusing, but we actually had some really good lessons that day.

Our little miracle this week was when we had been trying to find a friend and it took us going up and down hundreds of stairs. After a while we decided to pray for a miracle and at the very bottom of the last stair case we found her house and had a great lesson!

HIGHLIGHTS:
- Exchanges with a super fun filipino companion and making adobo for her
- 4th week follow ups and traveling 2 hours to the mission office (they had the jumanji movie playing on the bus it was so hard not to watch)
- Teaching a def lady, she has been teaching me a lot of sign language! To teach her we type with the notes app
- Playing piano for relief society because they havent had anyone who could play for a long time
- Finding a 275 stair shortcut through the middle of a barangay we just about collapse every time we take it haha

- They eat ice cream on bread and its actually pretty good!
- Also hot chocolate mixed in rice
- They love crocs and croc charms

ESPIRITUAL NA ISIP:
This week I have been trying to teach a lot more and because of that some of our friends have been noticing me struggle with Tagalog
Two of them said to sister Cox that even though my Tagalog is choppy they can hear the spirit when I speak and they can understand what Im trying to say through the Holy Ghost

I know that the Holy Ghost is helping me a lot and I am so glad he can help touch the hearts of those we are teaching ♡

Moroni 10:5 "And by the power of the Holy Ghost ye may know the truth of all things"

PICS:
I dont know why they are sideways im sorry

- Trying to go to a military base but getting kicked out because we are foreigners and have no passports
- Just a dog and his purse
- My filipino comp for the day
- Valley of colors!
- The absolute hugest snail I have ever seen
