September 23, 2024 WEEK 59 Merry Christmas 🎄

Christmas season officially started here again back on the first day of September. Christmas music has been playing in stores again and we've been seeing a few lights and trees going up

HIGHLIGHTS
- I forgot to put this in other emails but me and my comp are both named Ashlyn spelt the same way
- teaching English class
- OYM (open your mouth) where we have been inviting just literally everyone to church
- multiple trips to the dentist for my poor comp
- Having a chalk fight on the beach for a zone activity 

MIRACLES ✨️
- Florena & Eric: a couple we met this week who were going to be baptized back in 2019 but because of a family member it never happened. Now in 2024 that family member is dead so now they can be baptized 😂 the wife came to church for the first time since 2019 and brought her sister along 
- Aragon Family: a family of 9 we met a few weeks ago who are so interested and continuing to come to church
- Christian: passed his Baptismal interview and will be baptized on Saturday
- Geffrey: always would tell us he wasn't ready for Baptism but would come to church every week and read every night, this morning he texted us and asked when he can get baptized!

  Keyboard ka ba? Kasi type kita... I love Tagalog pick up lines! this one means are you a keyboard because you're my type haha It has been such a great week but soo weird because we have been doing a few things for the last time! I fly out Saturday night for the Philippines and will arrive that monday. We actually skip completely over sunday because of the time zone differences. Homecoming- Touring the Philippines with Mom and Dad March 22-March 27

 Ashlyn was released from her mission on March 22, 2025 at the Baguio Mission Home.  Because President and Sister Wilson couldn't be there, The Caldwells came to meet us and help with her release.  This was a tender mercy because the Caldwells had treated Ashlyn like a daughter throughout her mission and watched over her from the day they found her in the Provo MTC until the day she left.  Originally, President Watt was scheduled to release Ashlyn over a phone video conference, but ended up having other obligations and he authorized her dad to release her, which was also a very special and tender moment.  A lot of tears of joy were shed when we saw Ashlyn again after 19.5 months and after she had to sadly take off her tags and say goodbye to this chapter of her life. December 23, 2024 WEEK 72 Naragsak a Paskua 🎅

HIGHLIGHTS - Christmas con!! We took a 4 bus ride down to LA Union and back so all together we traveled 8 hours that day. My favorite part of the travel was playing with one of the elders electric massager because it makes your nerves in your hand go crazy if you put it on your arm. We were all laughing so hard  - I got HUGGED by a 20 year old drunk guy - I also got super sick this week but luckily after a 5 hour nap and a lot of prayers I was totally fine to go work - The Caldewalls my favorite senior couple took us to some of our poorest friends and we shared a message and gave them bags of rice and veggies it was an amazing experience and we felt the spirit so strong - The branch Christmas party was fun it was mostly games and karaoke  - We just got news that our mission will now get phones for everyone so companionships don't have to share!! We are super excited about it - I started my French fries on fire in the microwave and smoked out the apartment woops  CHRISTMAS...
