February 17, 2025 WEEK 80 Samoa 🌺
I got my trainee this week Sister Tasiano and she is from Samoa! I love learning about her culture and she is so sweet. She gave me 4 of her traditional Samoan dresses that I've been wearing around like an island girl

SAMOAN CULTURE

They make this stuff called Umu (?) Which is pork they wrap in banana and Taro leaves and then cook underground for a few days. They put hot rocks or something like that to cook it, it sounds amazing I want to try it
ESPIRITUAL NA ISIP
Im not going to lie its been a hard week and I even questioned why I extended because it feels like we are not seeing much success in this area, but I came across this verse in D&C 111: 1-2
" I AM NOT DISPLEASED WITH YOUR COMING THIS JOURNEY... I have much treasure in this city whom I will gather out through your instrumentality"
This came as a direct answer to my prayers and I think that this can go for all missionaries out in the field or preparing to serve. You are NOT wasting your time and God is pleased with our efforts, keep going :))
I know God lives and answers our prayers ♡
