February 2, 2025 WEEK 78 Back to Burnham ⛰️

18 MONTHS

On exchanges this week I got to go back to the area I was trained in! I saw soo many people I met a year ago and even got to go and teach the man who approached us and asked to be baptised. It was amazing I got to teach him and we talked about his experience in the temple for the first time. He recieved an impression in the temple that if he helps others then God will help him and he has hit the ground running with it. Because of his ministering efforts with his friends the numbers in the ward have doubled. It showed me that the elect are really out there and God is preparing souls.

HIGHLIGHTS
- I will be hitting 18 months this week which makes me want to pass out 
- I electrocuted myself with our janky heating coil for our bucket shower and now its broken. The thing literally exploded while I was holding it ow
- we had no running water for three days straight of this week
- Our 2 refferals came to church
- our nonactive member came back to church and now comes to appointments with us
- we had a cool service project in the valley of a far out mountain. We tilled an entire field with just pitchforks (?) My body hurts so bad now though

NIGERIAN CULTURE 🇳🇬 
My comp has these cool scars on her face that she said they cut into her face when she was a baby to determine her tribe. The tribal marks can be scars on their face, chest, legs, or feet and each tribe has different scar patterns

ESPIRITUAL NA ISIP
I was so exhausted this week and felt like a lot of our efforts hiking all of these mountains have been wasted but I flipped open to this verse in
 D&C 126:2 
"I have seen your labor and toil in journeyings for my name"
It brought me a lot of comfort and helped me to know that God sees me and knows my sacrifices ♡

  Keyboard ka ba? Kasi type kita... I love Tagalog pick up lines! this one means are you a keyboard because you're my type haha It has been such a great week but soo weird because we have been doing a few things for the last time! Homecoming- Touring the Philippines with Mom and Dad March 22-March 27

 Ashlyn was released from her mission on March 22, 2025 at the Baguio Mission Home.  Because President and Sister Wilson couldn't be there, The Caldwells came to meet us and help with her release.  This was a tender mercy because the Caldwells had treated Ashlyn like a daughter throughout her mission and watched over her from the day they found her in the Provo MTC until the day she left.  Originally, President Watt was scheduled to release Ashlyn over a phone video conference, but ended up having other obligations and he authorized her dad to release her, which was also a very special and tender moment.  A lot of tears of joy were shed when we saw Ashlyn again after 19.5 months and after she had to sadly take off her tags and say goodbye to this chapter of her life. December 23, 2024 WEEK 72 Naragsak a Paskua 🎅

HIGHLIGHTS - Christmas con!! We took a 4 bus ride down to LA Union and back so all together we traveled 8 hours that day. My favorite part of the travel was playing with one of the elders electric massager because it makes your nerves in your hand go crazy if you put it on your arm. We were all laughing so hard  - I got HUGGED by a 20 year old drunk guy - I also got super sick this week but luckily after a 5 hour nap and a lot of prayers I was totally fine to go work - The Caldewalls my favorite senior couple took us to some of our poorest friends and we shared a message and gave them bags of rice and veggies it was an amazing experience and we felt the spirit so strong - The branch Christmas party was fun it was mostly games and karaoke  - We just got news that our mission will now get phones for everyone so companionships don't have to share!!
