March 2, 2025 WEEK 82 Magulo 🤪

When I was looking through my journal to figure out what to write for this week I kept seeing the word "magulo" which means chaotic, I guess its been a crazy week lol

HIGHLIGHTS 
- some sisters in our stewardship keep getting into fights so first we had to go to their area and sit them down like children and talk to them to see what was going on and then this week we actually had to stay the night in their area to keep them separated. Finally finally there has been an emergency transfer and things have been going a lot more smoother.
- the story with the elder who wrote me a valentine's note has become way bigger of a deal than I thought. The ZL found out and reported it to the AP who reported it to president and they have been calling me a lot because I guess it is something you can get sent HOME for. I really hope he doesnt though
- we found two very receptive families this week! 
- we have OUR OWN PHONES NOW it has been so nice not having to share one phone between the two of us especially on pday
- Joint DCM was good and I learned a lot, its my last one sad sad
- we got fed a lot this week always a plus
- we went and explored this long bridge in a far out area and found a tatay who says he has been looking for missionaries and asked for a Book of Mormon
- it was our roommates birthday and we got gifted 3 cakes plus the one we already bought so we have 4 cakes

Tribal tattoos are a way of showing honor or authority in a village. And the leaders of the village are called chiefs

ESPIRITUAL NA ISIP
Here are some insights I learned in Gospel Principles that answered some questions I have had for a long time:

Why God Commandend Adam and Eve not to eat the fruit even though it was part of His plan all along:
If God would have told them to eat the fruit in order to have children then Satan would have tempted them NOT to eat the fruit.
Gods mind is higher than Satans so He commandend Adam & Eve not to eat the fruit knowing that satan would try to destroy His plan and tempt Adam & Eve to eat the fruit. Now that they ate the fruit they were able to have children, and now we are here :)
Nothing can frustrate Gods plans.

  Keyboard ka ba? Kasi type kita... I love Tagalog pick up lines! this one means are you a keyboard because you're my type haha It has been such a great week but soo weird because we have been doing a few things for the last time! Homecoming- Touring the Philippines with Mom and Dad March 22-March 27

 Ashlyn was released from her mission on March 22, 2025 at the Baguio Mission Home.  Because President and Sister Wilson couldn't be there, The Caldwells came to meet us and help with her release.  This was a tender mercy because the Caldwells had treated Ashlyn like a daughter throughout her mission and watched over her from the day they found her in the Provo MTC until the day she left.  Originally, President Watt was scheduled to release Ashlyn over a phone video conference, but ended up having other obligations and he authorized her dad to release her, which was also a very special and tender moment.  A lot of tears of joy were shed when we saw Ashlyn again after 19.5 months and after she had to sadly take off her tags and say goodbye to this chapter of her life. December 23, 2024 WEEK 72 Naragsak a Paskua 🎅

HIGHLIGHTS - Christmas con!! We took a 4 bus ride down to LA Union and back so all together we traveled 8 hours that day. My favorite part of the travel was playing with one of the elders electric massager because it makes your nerves in your hand go crazy if you put it on your arm. We were all laughing so hard  - I got HUGGED by a 20 year old drunk guy - I also got super sick this week but luckily after a 5 hour nap and a lot of prayers I was totally fine to go work - The Caldewalls my favorite senior couple took us to some of our poorest friends and we shared a message and gave them bags of rice and veggies it was an amazing experience and we felt the spirit so strong - The branch Christmas party was fun it was mostly games and karaoke  - We just got news that our mission will now get phones for everyone so companionships don't have to share!! We are super excited about it - I started my French fries on fire in the microwave and smoked out the apartment woops  CHRISTMAS...
